Port Guichon
Ladner, BC
Named after the early settler Laurent Guichon and his family, who along with Bill, and Thomas Ladner, purchased farmland side by side and created what is now known as “Ladner’s Landing”. Port Guichon was the heart of the train and steamship entrance for Delta, eclipsing Ladner as Delta’s transportation centre. Laurent Guichon and his family built the second Guichon hotel and the ferry landing on Ladner’s Landing which then became known as the town site of Port Guichon in the early 1890’s.
